Aging is inevitable.
How we live it is our choice.

SAGE Senior Cohousing Advocates promotes cohousing designed to inspire vibrant living through connected communities of adults age 50+.

SAGE is an all-volunteer organization that aims to help individuals and groups:

  • Discover the benefits of cohousing for those over 50.

  • Learn how to start a cohousing community.

  • Find existing communities and new projects under way.

What Is Cohousing?

Cohousing is a planned residential community that combines private homes with shared indoor and outdoor spaces designed to support an active, independent and interdependent community life.

Why Senior Cohousing?

It’s a lifestyle choice where living in a close-knit, intentional community improves health, reduces the need for senior services, fosters rewarding relationships, and makes life more affordable and fun. And like intergenerational cohousing, senior cohousing is a solution to today’s social and environmental challenges.  Find out why senior cohousing residents value this lifestyle.
