SAGE Board Member Chuck Durrett will lead Senior Cohousing 101, which consists of two 1-day intensives on Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31 as part of the National Cohousing Conference (CoHoCon) in Portland, OR.
Day 2 of Senior Cohousing 101 will be filled with learning, looking, and listening. Durrett will be joined by SAGE board member Carolyn Salmon and Quimper Village residents, who will co-facilitate. Based on the popular Senior Cohousing Intensive in June 2018, themes of the day will include:
1. What we did, how we did it, and what we’d do differently (lessons learned) and a little bit about why we did it. We’re not just making real estate here! And was it worth it? Moderated by Quimper Village residents;
2. If we (Quimper Village and/or Chuck Durrett) lived in your town, what we’d do to move you into senior cohousing as soon as possible, moderated by cohousing architect Charles Durrett with Quimper Village residents.
This event is for those ready to become residents of their own state-of-the-art senior cohousing community. Those who attend will be further inspired and equipped with the tools to move forward with their own projects.
All pre-registered participants will receive a copy of Durrett’s latest book, Senior Cohousing Primer: Recent Examples and New Projects.
Registering in advance is encouraged as space is limited.
